Motor vehicle accidents: Newlyweds killed in tragic crash

On Behalf of | Aug 30, 2019 | Motor Vehicle Accidents |

As most Texas residents know, roadways across the state are becoming more crowded and congested every year. Traveling on these crowded roads is undoubtedly a difficult and dangerous task. Unfortunately, motor vehicle accidents are one of the leading causes of death in the United States. These days, operating a motor vehicle requires constant focus and is, unfortunately, taken for granted far too often. Recently, a young newlywed couple was killed in a tragic crash just moments after their wedding.

The accident happened in Orange County along Highway 87 during the afternoon hours. According to reports, the couple’s car was struck by a pickup truck that was towing a trailer carrying a tractor. Reports said the couple died at the scene of the violent crash.

Reportedly, the couple had just left their wedding ceremony when the accident occurred. They were being followed by the mother and sister of the groom, who both claimed to have witnessed the crash and were obviously distraught. The mother urged people to never take family for granted. Authorities said the driver of the pickup truck was uninjured and it was not immediately known if the driver will face charges.

Unfortunately, roadways today are more dangerous than ever. An accident can happen when least expected. Without question, motor vehicle accidents can be frustrating events to experience, but the experience can be absolutely devastating when family members are injured or killed due to no fault of their own. Those in Texas who suffer the loss of an immediate family member in an accident could be entitled to a substantial monetary award through a successfully litigated civil lawsuit.
